Area 43

Area 43 is one of the three major Ash-infested zones designated by the higher-ups for recapture within the imposed three-month deadline.

Area 73

Area 73 is a heavily contaminated Ash zone encountered during an early mission. The area becomes the site of Kasuga Shiho's first major crisis.

Area 105

Area 105 is the first successfully recaptured zone following the protagonist's appointment as leader. It also serves as an early benchmark of progress toward the larger objective set by the higher-ups.

Common

The Common is a metaphysical realm representing the collective unconscious of humanity, where all past, present, and future human memories and souls converge. It is accessible primarily through the leader's ability to enter the hearts of others, and serves as the battleground for internal conflicts. The Common is also central to the structure of reality itself, acting as a bridge between the emotional and physical worlds. Its integrity is critical, as corruption within it can spread to reality, and it ultimately becomes the foundation for the creation of the Oasis.

Hiroshima

Hiroshima is a previously secured operational region where the protagonist formerly led a Special Force unit. Under their leadership, the area was successfully cleared of Ash, establishing their reputation and leading to their reassignment to the Izumo campus.

Ise Campus

The Ise Campus is a euphemistic term used within Mitsuishi Hinomori Academy to refer to death in the field. Rather than an actual transfer destination, being "sent" to the Ise Campus signifies that a member has died during a mission. This terminology reflects the normalization of loss within the Special Force and serves as a psychological buffer for the students.

Izumo Campus

The Izumo Campus of Mitsuishi Hinomori Academy is both an educational institution and a frontline facility for treating and managing Ash Syndrome. It serves as the primary base of operations for the Special Force featured in the story. Compared to other regions, Izumo experiences higher Ash activity and stronger Testa, making it one of the most dangerous operational areas. Most of the story's events, including training, planning, and interpersonal development, take place here.

Literature Club

The Literature Club is a cover organization within the academy that functions as the headquarters for the Special Force. While presented as a normal extracurricular club, it is used for strategy meetings, training sessions, and coordination of missions. It also serves as a social space where team members bond and develop relationships outside of combat.

Oasis

Oasis is a proposed reconstructed world created by combining the emotions and memories of Reflectors into a stable reality. It is designed as a safeguard against the collapse or reset of the current world, effectively serving as a replacement reality. The creation of Oasis requires separating the Common from the physical world and using a central figure, "The One who Gathers Memories", as its core. While it offers hope for continuity, its creation comes at the cost of the existing world and the memories of those involved.

Mitsuishi Heavy Industries

Mitsuishi Heavy Industries is a faction within Katana that focuses on researching and developing controllable Testa. Unlike other factions that combat Ash directly, Mitsuishi Heavy Industries seeks to weaponize it, including the artificial creation and manipulation of Queens.

Mitsuishi Hinomori Academy

Mitsuishi Hinomori Academy is a specialized academy designed to house and treat individuals affected by Ash Syndrome. It operates both as a school and as a military training facility for Eroded, preparing them to combat Testa. The academy is divided into multiple campuses, including Izumo and Hiroshima, and serves as the central hub for the Special Force.

Houraikan Pharmaceuticals

Houraikan Pharmaceuticals is a faction within Katana that advocates for combating Ash through the use of Eroded rather than attempting to control it. While positioned as a more ethical counterpart to Mitsuishi Heavy Industries, it is revealed that the organization still engages in morally ambiguous practices.
