Blue Reflection Sun was an iOS/Android/PC game, developed by DMM Games and Koei Tecmo with Mel Kishida as character designer (stylized as Mel Kishida x Koei Tecmo Games x DMM GAMES, 岸田メル×コーエーテクモゲームス×DMM GAMES). Official sources defined the game as a Heroic RPG, and it was be free to play with in-game microtransactions available.
The game had its scheduled Closed Beta Testing from December 2nd 2022 to December 9th 2022.
The official release of the game was on February 21, 2023 in Japan, and was available on Japanese iOS and Google Play stores.
It was discontinued in 30 May, 2024.
A console remake of the game, developed by Gust and published by Koei Tecmo will release on July 30, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 alongside remastered versions of Blue Reflection and Blue Reflection: Second Light and a video game adaption of the anime Blue Reflection Ray. The games will be digitally only in English.[2]

Or so we thought.
We eventually learned that the ash is “a toxic substance that invades the body.”
Development
The game was announced on March 28, 2021, as part of the Blue Reflection Project, along with the anime Blue Reflection Ray and the game Blue Reflection Second Light.[3]
Closed Beta Testing (CBT) applications were announced on November 1, 2022.[4] The CBT user cap was increased from 3,000 to 5,000 participants on November 29, 2022.[5]
On December 2, 2021, at 4.30pm (JST)[6] the beta servers went live for the first time to the successful Closed Beta Testers.
On February 15, 2023 the release date of February 21, 2023 was announced.[7]

Closed Beta Testing
A beta test will be conducted from December 2 to December 9 on mobile platforms.
